New Campaign “The Shelter Project” Encourages Pet Owners To Adopt
Good news for all the homeless animals!
The Shelter Pet Project is a new campaign aimed at increasing the rate of shelter pet adoption in the U.S. by dispelling some common myths about these animals – which keep many from finding homes.
This new campaign, sponsored by The Humane Society of the United States, Maddie’s Fund, and the Ad Council, is a funny and lighthearted way of letting the 17 million people who plan on getting a companion animal this year know that shelters should be the first and best place to find them.
The interactive Shelter Pet Project website has some great adoption resources, like a Pet Personals matching questionnaire, e-cards to send to friends and family, and some pretty great videos!
So make sure you spread the word about the Shelter Pet Project and help some lovable animals find a good home.
