Mike Yeshion likes meat – he likes meat a lot!
Mike and I have known each since we just a year old and although we have a lot in common, one thing that’s drastically different is our diet. He’s meat and potatoes. I’m more like tofu and quinoa.
A few nights ago, Mike and I were sitting at the bar (OK, tofu, quinoa and tequila) and he rather pompously said, “Dude, I could totally be vegan if I wanted to.” And that was that. Within minutes I had convinced Mike to prove it to me and the world by going vegan for 30 days and documenting the whole thing on VEGdaily. He agreed.
So starting July 1st, Mike Yeshion will go vegan and each Friday VEGdaily.com will unveil a new video updating the world on his progress. Do you think he can do it? Watch the preview below and comment with your thoughts, comments or general words of encouragement! Trust me — if we can get Mike, we can get anyone!!!

This is a world class event. It’s the VegOlympics minus that torchy thing.
Michael Yeshion-the world will be watching. You can do it!

Love it! Go Mike! I did the same thing (taking up the “Meat Out” challenge a few months ago) and blogged about it here:

I’ve since stuck with it (mostly) and feel so much better all-around that I’m amazed and delighted.

Mike, I know you can do it man! I’m rooting for you. If you start to lose your resolve, pick up the China Study and start reading!

Mike- I’ve known you a long time and know you can do it. When you make up your mind to do something you’re devoted. Like the time you came back from Israel and kept Kosher by not letting the cheese touch the meat on the same plate.

Go Mike!! I am so proud of you. After 30 days, you may not feel like returning to some meat/dairy is convenient at all. The benefit of good health (for me) outweighs any convenience.
I’ve been vegetarian for almost 18 years and vegan for 2 (this month marks my 2nd anniversary as a vegan!). And although the first months/s were a little difficult, now it’s so easy I wonder how I ever worried.
GOOD LUCK to you!!
