Answering Common Questions: But Don’t Plants Have Feelings Too?
Posted in Activism on 08. Jun, 2009
Every once and a while as a vegan, you may get that common question: “but what about plants? don’t they have feelings too?” The sentiment being that if plants have feelings, then it doesn’t matter what we eat since we will always be causing pain to gain nourishment.
Well, Dan Cudahy at Unpopular Vegan Essays has prepared some great answers with a comprehensive essay on how to address this issue with non-vegetarians. Worth a read for both new and seasoned vegans since this question will come up, at least once, but always when you least expect it!

I usually respond with: Wouldn’t you agree there is a big difference between mowing your lawn and sawing the legs off a cat?
Ha ha! That’s a funny answer.
