You know what I love with my gnocchi? Some morels and a fiddlehead.

Ha! That sounds ridiculous, right? But it comes from VeganYumYum.com so you KNOW it has to be tasty.

What the hell’s a fiddlehead? According to the site:

“A fiddlehead is the tip of an unfurling Ostrich Fern frond, quickly snapped off with the flick of the wrist by professional foragers in the wild. ”

Apparently they’re only  available for about three weeks in May and are generally harvested in the northeastern United States. I’ve never tasted one before, but you better believe I’ll be looking for a little fiddle action on my next trip to the farmers market.

Now hurry! Visit VeganYumYum.com and make this recipe before it’s too late!
