How A Vegan In Her Late-20s Gets Crazy On Her Birthday
Posted in General VEG! on 04. May, 2009

If VEGdaily’s own Michael DuDell thinks that he is an old man for turning 26 this year, then I must be ancient because this weekend is my 27th! Like Mike, I am too old to drink and party the night away and am instead celebrating my birthday in a more animal- and health-friendly way.
My birthday will begin with a walkathon and festival for animals sponsored by the nonprofit that I work for full time, the Humane League of Philadelphia. After all of the festivities, friends and family are joining me for dinner at Adobe, a local Tex-Mex restaurant and bar with every vegan option possible, right down to soy sour cream.
Then on Sunday I will kick back and relax – hangover free. Maybe a bike ride or a hike in Fairmount Park, stopping by a local church’s vegan dinner and seminar, then home for an evening movie with two cats on my lap and knitting in my hands … okay, maybe I am getting old.

Happy birthday! This sounds like lots of (sober) fun!
