Europe Bans Animal Testing For Cosmetics — Bunnies High Five

cute-bunny

Bunnies and rats of Europe can toss out their makeup remover as two bans on cosmetics testing on animals were made official last week.

In 2003, the EU decided that it was time for beauty companies to start finding alternative methods to the cruel animal tests of the past without compromising consumer safety. These new regulations prohibit any further testing of ingredients on animals, and also prohibit the sale of any final product that contains ingredients that were tested on animals.

Companies have had the last six years to work out their new animal-free testing processes, and will have another four until the bans are strictly enforced. Bunnies and rats, on the other hand, have been planning for this day for decades.

  1. That makes me so happy!

  2. Occasionally it takes another person to put the information before you before you realise that anyone should really receive additional care.

  3. animal testing should be banned period . i would quit wearing makeup before an animal died .
